 Zion Baptist Church, 128 years of rich and proud history; proclaiming the Gospel at 10 Josephine Street, Berryville, Virginia under the leadership of the energetic, hospitable, gregarious and anointed visionary, Reverend Delbert Hicks with the graceful and amiable First Lady Cecilia Hicks serving by his side.

 Soon to celebrate 129 years of faithfulness and ministry: souls are still being nourished and saved, with the infalliable, impregnable, will not return to Him void, Word of God.  Zion where the Word is magnified and the Spirit of the Lord hovers us.  Weekly the Word is being taught in Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. Morning Worship commences;  Bible Study and Prayer Service is on Wednesday's at 7:00 So you get a fresh Rhema Word and a fresh perspective on a weekly basis.
 
Zion "The Ship" where God always "Shows Up."  And we continue to strive for excellence.
History

In 1880, the Lord, put into the heart of Benjamin Franklin and eleven others the desire for the “Missionary Baptist” Church, which would be built upon the faith that Christ Himself had and passed on to His Followers. After wandering around for sometime looking for a suitable place to hold a meeting, they selected a grove in the small town of Pigeon Hill. With the grove for their place of worship its green foliage for decorations, rough boards for pews, the canopy of heaven for their lamps, the fore-runners of Zion Baptist and pioneers of the Missionary in the Shenandoah Valley met, sang, shouted and praised God.
